Robe a la polonaise - petticoats

  The satin petticoat is made according to the original from 1770 -1780 located in The Gallery of English Costume (see  Arnold); it consists of satin layer, damask lining and wadding and is quilted with period method 18 20 stitches per inch (2, 54 cm). Petticoat is opened at sides to allow an access to two pockets fastened under petticoats (see the last picture).
