Regency ball gloves

  

 

Regency cotton ball gloves trimmed with silk thread embroidery and metal spangles are made according to the extant ladies long gloves, c. 1790-1810 (The Glove Collection Trust, Accession No: 23443 + A). The gloves are stitched with a linen thread and at the top are tied with a cotton ribbon.
