Chemisette

The chemisette is a piece worn under the dress or on the dress and fills low necklines of regency dresses. This chemisette trimmed with a treble mushroom-pleated frill at the neck is made of cotton muslin according to the extant piece from collections from the Snowshill Manor, England, c. 1800 – 1825 (J. Arnold, Patterns of Fashion 1).
