Red rococo corset

The stays are made according to a pattern of Jean Hunnisett (Period Costume for Stage & Screen: Patterns for Women’s Dress 1500-1800) and are made of two layers of bedticking and vertical plastic 3 mm – size boning between them, there are a few horizontal pieces of boning in the front panel. The pattern of boning matches rococo stays boned with barked reed, but there is a less number of bonining. The lining is of pink linen and the decorative layer is of red-black brocade decorated with handmade cotton twisted cord. The decoration was inspired with two stays in collection of the Museum in Olomouc.
