Eleanor of Austria

 

   The basic art work was the Queen's portrait by Joos van Cleve (c. 1530, KHM Wien). The garment consists of a shirt with silk sleeves, a verdugado, inner dress with cutted sleeves) and front skirt of a red silk taffeta with gold cords and a outer garment partially underlined with a fur. The Spanish headdress is made up of a tube covering a long braid and a velvet beret. The clothing is complemented by a number of jewelry. Photo by Pawel Rychlik in Lublin (PL).
