Blue gown

Dark blue woolen clothing with tippets according to the French fashion around 1420 is inspired by a tapestry Promenade d’amoureuex, Paris, (ca. 1420, Museé des Arts Decoratives, Paris). The shape and decoration of the headgear is based on the April illumination in Très Riches Heures du Duc de Berry (ca. 1415, Manuscript No. 65, Museé Condé, Chantilly).

Next page shows details of the headgear.
