Cloak of Rudolf I Habsburg
This half-circular trailing mantle is 198cm long at the end of the
train and 340 cm from left edge to the right. It was found with other
burial clothing - a tunic and a surcoat; you can find their
reconstruction here. It was probably fastened by a tie or a chain
running between the two brooches attached to the garment on either
side of the neck. The mantle was made from four 92 cm-wide strips of
fabric. The mantle was certainly made before 1307.
